- CHANT Biography -
CHANT sounds like STOMP drumming for NIN, ancient tribes backing DJ Tiesto, and although creator Bradley Bills performs solely on his own, the live shows have gained a reputation for leaving witnesses moved and elated – viewing CHANT as much more than a band! It’s a new invention of the Industrial machine, a refined view of performance art, and a tribal/electronic showcase of sonic energy that intrigues audiences by its sheer power.
Upon the release of his independent CD/DVD combo ‘CHANT: Beginnings’ (Engineered by Jeffery D. Pinkus – Butthole Surfers / Honky), CHANT spent 2004 - 2005 avidly performing all over Texas – making waves in each and every city he hit. The awe-inspiring shows have drawn immediate attention and press, including features in The Edge Texas Music Magazine, raving reviews on national websites Realmgothica.com and IndustrialNation.com, and being voted 2nd Best Live Industrial performance in The Austin Chronicle’s Readers Music Poll in CHANT’s first year running.
In one short year, CHANT has landed supporting slots for Pigface, Attrition, The Genitortures, and VAST to name a few! This media and live music surge has sparked interest from several indie labels who support the underground music scene as Bradley finishes up material for his first full length release.
With a full length National release slated for 2006 and touring to follow, CHANT will surely continue to reach for something new. DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!
Bradley currently lives and works in Austin, TX. In addition to developing Chant and Chantproject.com, he continues to be one of the most sought out drummers for local Austin bands performing within the Red River music scene. (Brewtality, INC., Peter Elliott and the Sellouts, SubNatural)
